A kiwi is a New Zealand native animal they are a protected species. here are some interesting things about the kiwi.

Description:

The kiwi has a long beak to look for food. they have nostrils on with end of it’s beak so it can find food. The kiwi has three toes on each of the two foots. The kiwi has wings but really small wings so it can’t fly, They have small eyes, the colour of the kiwi is brown.

Habitat:

The habitat of the kiwi is in a burrow underground. They can keep warm and so they won't be caught by a predator. When they find food they can put it in so nothing can eat it.

Diet:

They eat worms from underground. They poke the beak into the ground and tries and find food if they can’t find any worms they eat berries or plants they use the nostril to find food underground.

Characteristics:

I kiwi can live up to 20 to 30 years. Also they can camara flarch in with the forest ground because the ground is brown like there feathers.

Conclusion:

I didn't know that kiwis are almost extinct and endangered speace.

Holiday Highlight OR Immersion Assembly

Walt: Recount our favourite part about the Holidays

In my holidays I got to go to my nan's her name is idier house. I like going there because they lived right by the glen inns pool After the pools we all went back to my nan's house so we could get some sleep the next day we went back home so we could have clean up.

After that me and my family went to my other nan's house to play around. It was getting dark so we went back home. then it was the second week of the school holidays me and my dad and brother went to are big hill so we could do our fitness we did our strikers then after that we had to run up and down the hill then when we got back home it was dinner time.

The next day we went to my uncle's house so we could play on his lap tops then we went over to the supermarket to do our shopping for my house. Then when we finish taking the food home we went to the beach again but I went up on the wof so I could jump off it was so fun because when I jump off I touch the ground and the was my uncle the so I try and breath so I could stay with hem but I went back up.

Then it was the second last day of the school holidays so me and my family went to my nan's house that lives in Riverside to sleep over for my mum and dad goes to my aunts birthday she turned 27. It was getting dark so I went for a little play then it was dark time so I went inside to have a shower and get in bed.

Then it was the last day of the school holidays and we had to stay home so I done my fitness after that we went to my uncle's house to have lunch we had for lunch was butter chicken after we finish our kie we went to shops to buy milk and bread for the house. We drop the bread and milk at home then when we were done it was time for dinner time so we went out to get fish and chips. Then it was getting dark so I went to sleep for school.

My favourite part about my school holidays was when I jumped off the wof and tried to stay under water with my uncle .

Eating Worms Recount

Walt: I am thinking about my purpose and reader by planning my recount.

Have you ever tasted chicken flavored worms befor? Well today we made chicken flavored worms with room 8 class.

This is how we made it was a packet of worms hot water flavoring a boil and a fork then we had to get into a big circle then Miss opened the two packets then Miss put hot water in then we stir the boil then when it was ready we got to eat it.

When it was done it look like soggy worms, the boil went around and Miss put some worms into people's mouths it tasted yummy we got to have seconds and thirds then when it was all gone the where worm slime then we had to write a paragraph about it.

I didn't know it was so easy to make worms the were only 3 ingredients.

This morning in room 8 we made butter we put cream and salt in a small jar then when it was done we pulled out fresh bread then we got to put butter on then it was ready to eat.

We had to put a pinch of salt into are jar. Then when we put those two ingredients we had to shake the jar it took us like 12 min to shake the jar. Then when it was done it was ready to eat.

My Holiday Highlight

Instructions

On my holiday I went to Australia for a holiday I hate go the because my mum wanted to go and my dad stay home he wanted to stay home so he can get more money for us when we come back home.

We had to catch two planes to Sydney then to Perth it took 5 hours and the other plane took 4 hours on the plane we had a tv to watch movies or games then when we got in the sky we got a feed because people will come past with drinks or food then we went on the another plane it was the same as the other plane.

When we got to Perth my nan and papa pick us up to my aunty house we had to sleep the in the morning I wake up had are shower had breakfast then I went to my cousins we got to sleep the for three days then my mum wanted me and brother and sisters to come home.

We got to stay there for 2 weeks and three days but on the 2 week we stayed home then on friday and sunday got to stay at my cousins house again on monday I watch tv then on tuesday and wednesday my cousins got sleep over but at dark time of wednesday I went back on two planes again back to Auckland then we got picked up from my dad.

Basketball

Have you played basketball before? Well on Mondays room 8 maths class went to basketball for the 7 few weeks our coaches are Vinnie and Malik they helped us to learn more skills about basketball like v dribble or like over head pass.

When we get there we had to do a little fitness like golden child after that

we did owe warm ups like jump stops or v dribbles or like bongo drums and pocket pass when we finish we got to play a game that we had to get into two groups and owe coaches will put us into number one or number two teams.

When we got into the game we had to run in threes or twos or one but sometimes fours when I ran the were lots of yelling on the side of the basketball court.

The Blindfold Games

Have you ever played the blind fold game before? Well today on june the 2nd of 2015 we played the rice game and it was fun because we had to try and find the pins.

We had to try and take out the safety pins out of the bowl of rice. When you pick up one and the timer goes off then your score will be one there are twenty safety pins when we played the the rice game how ever gets the most they win a prize.

The people that went first was me, Andrew, Alex, Jonathan, Tavake and Machelle that went first I played with room eight it was fun some people score were like 5 or 15 or 1 but some people got zero because it just felt like rice.

There were some people that just dump the rice onto the paper like isaac or Fynlay that just dump it but it was funny and it just felt like rice when we put awe hands in when you pick up one you can easily drop the pin because it just feel like rice.

I felt funny when I was trying to get the safety pins out because it just felt like rice and because the safety were show small and skinny.  

 

The Chocolate Game

Walt: Recount our experience of the Chocolate Game

Have you played the chocolate game before? Well on May the 12 at school in room eight we played the chocolate game we had to dress up in accessories and clothing when we started we had to go in a large circle then we started.

Have you ever seen the chocolate game before? We had to sit down in a large circle. If you didn't land on a six you have to hand over the dice if you land on a six you can change in clothing or accessories when you get a six you get to go in the middle and dress up and try to cut the chocolate but one piece.

When I was dressing up the were a lot of people laughing. There were a lot of funny parts like when Tom put on the coconuts on and when Isaac was dressing up fast. Some people were dressing up so slow like Kosini. some people rolled fives and other rolled two or three but some people rolled one but the best number was six.

There was a lot of laughing. When I got a six I was feeling a little afraid and at the same time happy. I was chucking stuff on my head and putting on the bunny ears. Everything was falling off so I put on the bunny ears again then I just ate a piece of chocolate.

Next time I don’t want to play because it was so embarrassing.

School Picnic

Hi my name is montel I didn't go to the picnic because i went to the eastern rugby tournament on friday 28th of March we had to play 5 games we won all of the five games so we had to go to the finals and if we won we got to go to edim park to vs other schools if win then we get to go on a trip and after the game we get to watch the auckland blues play.

And we won the tournament so we are going to edim park next month or two more months we are going to elin park with Alfa, flyn, jonathan,and everyone else how came to riper so we got the trofe. Then we went to the beach for hafh honer then we went back to class with awe teacher to clean up the class.

then I had to pick up ten peser of rubis then I went put up the chairs with the class then went to have my fruit than did pick up more of rubis then I went to the office to ask for something then I look at awe tofe then I went to class but I got a drink then I went to class to get ready for home time and pick up my brother and go home.

    

Nepal Earthpuake

Walt: Explain and describe the devastation that the earthquake in Nepal has caused

Last week in Nepal there was an earthquake. Once it started everyone was running around in a panic. Then people ran into the middle of the road,some jumped out of their cars and ran too. They huddled up there for shelter in case buildings fell down and nearly hit them. Lots of footage was caught on camera.

Then the was two more earthquake but on different streets when the second one came but at a different street when the ground was shaking the were all panicking so they ran some people just drop the stuff and ran because they were scared and when the ground stop moving they went of to were ever the going then the third one came it did the same thing like the other two.

Anzac Day

We had to file up the gaps of the words then when we filed all of them we had to go sumo paint and draw a poppy or something that we can think of doing with poppy's then we had to take a screen shot then we had to go Google drawing and past it on then we go back to awe writing and copy the writing then past the writing on to your pitcher and save your work and put it on your blog.
